When a wave-pool kook from Arizona wins a trip to the North Shore, his big dream turns into his biggest nightmare. Rick Kane is in over his head when he takes on Pipe, Da Hui, a local chick and Laird Hamilton in what is, for my money, one of the all-time attempts by Hollywood to cash in on the surfing lifestyle.
As usual, everyone jumped at the chance to make some easy coin and be memorialized for all time on celluloid as party to the whoring out of our culture. Occy, Robbie Page, Laird and every other 90`s pro took the easy money. They will most likely regret it for the rest of their lives--we hope.
