It’s the first week of November, and would you believe that the high temp is going to be in the low 80s today? Well, yes… because luckily for us, it’s still tank top weather in this part of the country. … Continue reading
November is upon us, which means the holidays are right around the corner. If you’re one of our “constantly on-the-move” girls who plan to do some jet-setting this winter season, then stock up and get your gear. We’ve got all the kinds of bags you’ll need to ensure your travels are organized and stylish. Check out some of our picks here.
Dakine Split Roller 65L Luggage
Dakine’s Split Roller 65L luggage always gets rave reviews and is the perfect getaway bag, whether you’re traveling locally or heading to more international, exotic locales. Best of all, it holds up year after year to all that airline torture. $195.00.
Nixon Tree Hugger Tote
We love the Nixon Tree Hugger tote. Not only does it feature a hidden magnet closure, dual shoulder straps, and an interior zipper pocket, but the whale design on cotton canvas is the perfect design so you can travel from sea to snow. $35.00.
Billabong Sea the Love Bag
Proclaim what matters most through Billabong’s heavy cotton canvas, colorblocked tote bag. The Sea The Love tote is perfectly sized for a beach towel and a book, or the essentials for an over-nighter. Includes sturdy webbed, contrasting nylon handles. Choose from orange, which has “LOVE” boldly printed or neon pink bag with a “SURF” graphic print. $39.50.
Element Olivia Bag
Keep it casual and hit the road on one of your daytrips with the Element Olivia bag, a printed cinch sack that features a cool Aztec-like black and white all over print, drawstring closure, and rope straps. $19.50.
Roxy Drifter 2 Backpack
Make sure you’re ready for action, wherever you wander. Roxy’s Drifter 2 Rucksack features a stripe print, padded adjustable shoulder straps, a buckle tab, a small front pocket, and a logo badge. There’s also a drawstring closure, large interior pocket, and a pouch pocket in front for added convenience. 100% cotton novelty fabric. Canvas Trim. Faux suede logo patch. $62.00.
Dakine Accessory Case
The ideal accessory piece so you can put whatever you want in it, the Dakine Accessory Case holds makeup, coins, sunglasses, and more, so you won’t ever lose those smaller items again. This year flew! The Billabong Pipe Masters in Memory of Andy Irons, the third and final stop of the Vans Triple Crown and the final event of the 2013 ASP Men’s World Tour, is almost here.
Slated for Sunday, December 8th through Friday, December 20th, the Banzai Pipeline, or Pipe, is an iconic and historic wave that is often referred to as the best wave on the planet. Located off Ehukai Beach Park in Pupukea on Oahu’s famous North Shore, the Pipe is a surf reef break known for its perfect, heaving top-to-bottom barrels and its close proximity to shore, and is it the perfect wave for those willing to charge.
But, it’s also great surf watching for the spectators on the beach. And you’re in luck since Billabong is sponsoring a contest to win a trip to watch it live!
The trip includes airfare for 2, 3 nights hotel stay, and $400 spending money.
It would be so sweet to watch this live! As we know, last year, Parko not only won the contest but also the World Title, in a gripping duel with 11 times surfing champ Kelly Slater.
ASP WCT surfers’ year-end rankings are based off their top eight finishes from the 10 ASP WCT events in 2013. Mick Fanning is the current rankings leader on the ASP WCT. Here are the top 5:
1) Mick Fanning (AUS)
2) Kelly Slater (USA)
3) Joel Parkinson (AUS)
4) Jordy Smith (ZAF)
5) Taj Burrow (AUS)
Who do you think will take it all this year? Continue reading
