We all want to save the dolphins, and Pro Surfer Dave Rastovich has recently made it his mission, documenting it all in the film, “Minds in the Water.” “Minds in the Water,” a feature-length documentary showing Rastovich’s efforts to protect dolphins, whales and the ocean they all share, will be making it’s New York debut at SMASH FEST 1 this Friday, July 26th at 10:30 PM at Villain in Brooklyn, NY.
Shot by filmmaker Justin Krumb, the film features Dave Rastovich, along with Howie Cooke, Hannah Fraser, Chris De Moro, Isabel Lucas, Will Conner, and Hilton Dawe and follows Rastovich as he embarks on a five-year adventure around the globe on a personal mission to help stop the worldwide commercial slaughter of dolphins and whales. The film captures a moment in a person’s life when apathy is no longer an option.
There are also special appearances by Hayden Panettiere, Ash Grunwald, Mati Waiya, Joel Parkinson, Louie Psihoyos, Jack Johnson, Kelly Slater, Paul Watson, and Xavier Rudd.
The film has a killer soundtrack featuring music by Red Hot Chili Peppers, Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd, Ash Grundwald, Dand of Frequencies, Allendig, Will Conner, Valley’s and Tim Flood.
