If you missed The Pacific Festival this past weekend, then check out Doheny Days, another music festival on the horizon. After a seven-year absence, Omega Events—the same company that brings the Doheny Blues Festival to Dana Point—has announced the return of the Doheny Days Music Festival.
The festival is set for September 10 and 11 and much like the Blues Festival, the event will include multiple stages, art, a food court, microbrews, a vendor village and a kids’ zone. The fun starts at 11:30am.
The lineup so far includes headliner Ben Harper (9/10), as well as Weezer (9/11), Ziggy Marley (9/11), G. Love and Special Sauce (9/10), Donavon Frankenreiter (9/10), Cake (9/11), JJ Grey & Mofro (9/10), Katchafire (9/10), Neon Trees (9/11), Black Uhuru (9/11), and Common Sense (9/10). It’s an awesome lineup with super cool tunes.
Dana Point city officials are also looking forward to Doheny Days: “These regional events attract overnight visitors who also help support our shops and restaurants. For…Doheny Blues Festival, several of our hotels benefited from customers who came to Dana Point specifically for the event,” said Economic Development Director Christy Teague. “Whenever the hotels, shops and restaurants gain business, it is good for the entire community. The direct revenues to the city go back into services, public improvements and enhancements like our movies and concerts in the park.”
There are still tickets available. Tickets are $50 for a single day or $80 for a weekend pass. You can also like their Facebook page and be entered to win “The Ultimate Doheny Days Contest, where the winner receives a pair of weekend lounge passes (highest ticket level), a 2-night hotel stay at Doubletree Suites Doheny beach (which is right across the venue). Contest ends August 31.
