A Music Festival in the OC’s Backyard: Pacific Festival This Weekend!

If you’re one of the lucky ones who can still snap up one of the few remaining tix left, check out the 2nd annual Pacific Festival: OC, which will be held Saturday, August 13 (11 a.m.–12 a.m.). SNOOP DOGG is the official festival headliner and will be joining over 50 of independent music’s most talented live acts and DJs from around the world.

The star-studded event will be held at the beautiful and picturesque Oak Canyon Ranch near Irvine Lake in Orange County, CA and will have five premium soundstages set up for 14 hours of non-stop live music and fun! Dubbed as “Southern California’s premiere event for fun in the sun,” FILTERMagazine.com has already placed Pacific Festival: OC in their “Top Five Most Anticipated Summer Festivals” list. With such a strong lineup, the renowned radio station KCRW and both LA/OC Weekly are the official media sponsors for the festival, which features a good mix of genres, not covering just dance music or just indie rock

Pacific Festival Entertainment is the vision of two groups of longtime friends with a combined 40 years of experience in music and event production. Steve Aoki, world-renowned DJ and founder of Dim Mak Records, and Mike Tunney, founder of Collaborative Media, have been friends for over 25 years, growing up together in Newport Beach. As their first business venture, Aoki and Tunney wanted to create a new music and arts festival for the Orange County community that connects culture with community; art with music; and entertainment with philanthropy, thus successfully launching the festival just last year. Last year’s event saw celebrities Kat Von D and Jesse James, along with professional surfer Jordy Smith, Mickey Avalon, Beetlejuice and Sylvester Stallone.

Some of this year’s performers include: CUT COPY, !!! (CHK CHK CHK), PHANTOGRAM, TORO Y MOI, CLASSIXX, AFROMAN, ZOOT WOMAN, THE TWELVES, FRED FALKE, THE GROWLERS, HANNI EL KHATIB, SUPERHUMANOIDS, AMERICAN ROYALTY, JUSTIN MILLER, THE C90S and KEDD COOK.
