Behold: the Billabong X White Mike collaborative series has arrived!

White Mike is an organization led by world-renowned underwater photographer (and shark enthusiast) Michael Muller and is centered around the preservation of our planet. The goal of this movement is to protect the dwindling population of Great White Sharks in our global environment and raise awareness of the possibility of the extinction of this species.

The movement began in June 2009 when big bold color posters of Great White sharks were mysteriously popping up throughout three major U.S. cities – Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. This guerrilla art drew attention to the sad fact that the global great white population has shrunk over 70 percent in the past 50 years, and as of 2004, is now on the Endangered Species List. Despite human’s fear of sharks, the prevalence of commercial long line fishing and the popular “shark fin soup” are among the many reasons that in actuality, sharks should be afraid; not us!

The Billabong X White Mike collection features Mike Muller’s famous shark photography and a portion of the proceeds from any Billabong X White Mike item will be donated directly to the White Mike organization.
