TransWorld Skateboarding set to drop its 25th video: “Perpetual Motion”

Adding to the catalog of TransWorld Skateboarding’s video legacy, the publication announced its latest and 25th full-length video, entitled Perpetual Motion, will premiere at the TWS Skate Awards night, slated for February 27, 2013, at Hollywood’s Avalon Theatre.

A film by Chris Thiessen and Jon Holland, the video will feature Silas Baxter-Neal, in addition to a numerous other skateboarders, including Julian Davidson, Jimmy Carlin, Walker Ryan, Josh Matthews, and Tom Remillard. Baxter-Neal is a recipient of Thrasher magazine’s “Skater of the Year” award; Baxter-Neal has been described by Transworld staff member, Oliver Barton, as a “all-terrain demolition unit.”

In an ESPN interview with filmmaker Jon Holland, who has been with TWS 17 years come this December, high points of creating Perpetual Motion include “Filming Silas doing some ridiculous moves in Portland, doing the Zoo bomb, and just getting to know and skate with Josh, Jimmy, Julian, Tom and Walker. I’m stoked to point a camera in their direction and witness their skating firsthand. They all rip.”
