Tony Hawk’s Foundation Garage Sale

From March 1 – 11, legendary skateboarder Tony Hawk will be auctioning off collectibles from his office to raise money for his charity, The Tony Hawk Foundation.  Established in 2002, this charitable, non-profit organization has helped to create free, public skateparks for at-risk youth for over a decade, and now Hawk is offering a collection of personal belongings and other special items to help raise funds to build even more.

All the proceeds from the auction will go to the Tony Hawk Foundation. The Foundation has awarded $3,972,350 to 493 communities, and focuses on working with local officials and grassroots, community-based organizations that plan to hire designers and contractors with strong experience designing and building.

The special eBay auction will run until Sunday, March 11 at 7 PM (Pacific Standard Time). Some of the items up for auction include: X Games Champions’ Set, which is a special collection of 5 autographed pro skateboard decks from Tony Hawk, Andy Macdonald, Shaun White, Buckly Lasek, and Pierre-Luc Gagnon, an autographed Michael Jordan Jersey, a Tony Hawk Prototype Doll Head, prototype Airwalk Shoes, five nights in Cancun, Mexico, a custom car, a super slick motorcycle, skateboards and trophies from Tony’s archive, a two-night stay at Hollywood’s famous Chateau Marmont, and tickets to televised tapings of “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent.”

There’s some pretty cool stuff, and all sales will help to build more skateparks, and other children-related charities.
